Detailed Description

Local transition function (any supported signature).

Either a plain (state, neighbours) functor (Phase 0–7) or a context-aware (state, neighbours, ctx) functor (Phase 8). The engines pick the right overload via apply_rule().

Template Parameters
Rcandidate rule type.
Llattice type whose state_type is consumed/produced.
